Re: Palm wood

Gotta remember that the coastline has changed many times over the past several hundred million years. I've found fossilized oyster shells and palm hundreds of miles from the coast. You got quite a collection of petrified wood points. I've only found 4 out of wood. One out of palm.

Albany Spokeshaven?

Would this item be called an Albany Spokeshaven? I think that these are quite rare, maybe paleo & very pricey now. There used to be some on a point consignment web site for years, then someone realized what they were & they're gone now.

Re: Albany Spokeshaven?

Could be.,it was found close to where I found a San Patrice.I had been doing some digging and when I went to pickup my rake to move some sand around this point was found on surface partially exposed. Headed back up to site this weekend, found 40+ artifacts a couple of weeks ago.
