First Day of winter

First day of winter….Tehuacana… this reminds me of your token notch Perdiz..

Re: First Day of winter

Sure does Travis. Token notched is what Greg Perino told me back in 1989. I've heard hafting notch, questionable, if it was then all points of that type would have it, for balance, also questionable, just rework the side not balanced, and a few other theories. I don't think it would be an eccentric, those seem to really go to the extremes in notching. I like to think it's the maker's mark.
Yours was a lucky find and a good point. Kudos.

Re: First Day of winter

Re: First Day of winter

Oh course not. Thx for putting it on page. Sweet!

Re: First Day of winter

I thought about you when I found it. Reminded me of your token notched perdiz. I saw your Montana Christmas pic. Looks cold up there. Hope the store is going well!!

Re: First Day of winter

Nice muddy report..
Maybe side notch was for scraping mud off a bow string

So it's on the front page...Big deal, I'M on the front pg too WITHOUT finding anything

Re: First Day of winter

We are closed today and tomorrow, good thing, we got swamped yesterday with the Christmas special. Christmas does look like Christmas here. Pine trees covered in snow. Plenty of rosy red checks too, though some of those are from bar patrons.
