Whats the best tool to use for digging if a wiggle pick isnt a option?

Re: for hal

Thats a loaded question cause it's a matter of opinion

By my own preference I have not used a traditional wiggle pick in about 5 years ( dont even take it with me )...
My tool of choice that has done the best job for me is the bent and sharpened big screw driver..

However I have stepped it up a notch...I use the Harbor Freight "pry bar" it's tempered steel and has to be heated to bend. As can be seen in this recent pic:

Small foot note...whatever tool is used...KEEP IT SHARPLY POINTED....and the curve and angle of how the point meets dirt is important. Decorative cute "ribbon" is so that it shows up better when set aside in the dirt
