Been up and around Yakima and wanted to look around the Washington and Oregon area but ran out of time when we were there. I've seen some pretty neat points come from that area. Buddy of mine snuck some pic's of the points there at the Klamath Falls Museum. The curator told him not to take any more. Those were sure some fine looking clear points.
Thats a true cache Good comparison of the gem points of the NW.
I looked up Clark county WA, good coastal / river location for the ancients, ( if thats a trade ring maybe William or Meriwether gave it to him ! )
These pics have been up top long enough for a closer inspection....
If they are pretty much from the same site, and some of the points might be GATECLIFF which pegs it at middle archaic ., , , .,.,. could that largest red piece of flint be an OWL CAVE Paleo that has snook in ??
Angus, check that item 5 inches right of the ear ring...might THAT be a ?
Thanks guys the larger broken think is either a piece of a pipe or a bead I think. The other smaller one is a mystery. It's vey small, much too small for a ring. Probably a bead or adornment of some sort. All of these points are fairly new, the larger red point is a pentagonal knife.
