A few yrs ago we put a big outdoor thermometer on Badger's head at a dig site, in full sun...It pegged
off scale at 140* ( ambient temp day of 105* )
Just this morn there was an item on ABC news of a school teacher walking abound a kids school yard in Dallas with one of those ' temp from a distance ' readers.
Full sun on mulch ground = 150*
Full sun on metal slide = 175*
Shade makes all the difference, even to diggers...
Of course there are always those with their own ideas of staying cool..
That's another way to get brain freeze.
