Cassidy enters his 'Blue' period

Yeah, he's biased. He knows it. But Mike Melvoin won't back down on this one: His German, handmade 1973 Grotrian-Steinweg concert grand is the best piano in Los Angeles.

It was around this piano, the centerpiece of Melvoin's West Hollywood recording studio, that he and longtime pal David Cassidy got together in mid-April to map out "A Touch of Blue," a 10-track glimpse into what the future holds for Cassidy's recording career.
