Due to poor ticket sales the Battersea Barge gig on June 19th has been cancelled.
Is this a pity scam - a bold new strategic approach by freshly arrived MBAs? Let's assume not. Then it may be my fault. I didn't buy a ticket - perhaps the one that failed to tip the balance.
It's my social circle's fault. They'd rather stuff their mouths with comforting cake than expose their ears to dulcet social criticism. So we do not descend upon London.
It's their society's fault. See/hear "dulcet social criticism".
And so to the Big Bang. Blast it!
Incidentally, I hope Mr. Jeays can stay away, to an extent, from the vaudeville/burlesque scene. What -- if you're not an a·s·s·h·o·l·e with a sure-fire business plan, well then surely you must be a buffoon, and did you bring a leprechaun hat? If you don't sport a mohawk then surely you will sport a Narnia t-shirt and sweet admonitions, or else a Tarantino and expletives so 'shocking' that you cannot be serious?
Brel or Brassens or Okudzhava or Visotsky - no buffoons.
