All of the answers to your questions are available in the email you were sent when you registered the service and in the Knowledge Base.
In a nutshell:
The password gate is a gateway between pages. Put the login box code Bravenet provided to you on a puclic page. When people use the login box with the username and password you give them, they will be sent to whatever page you define in the Password Gate account manager, in the service manager.
Put the code on page A, to protect pages B, C, D etc. Remove ALL links to the pages you are protecting. Restrict access to all of those pages by forcing visitors to only access them through the gate.
