Password Protected Pages

I have a password protected page on my website. But when i go to my site, the page is accessible to everyone that goes onto it. But if i delete the page, it wont exist and i wont be able to edit the information. Is there a way that i can make the page non-existent to other people but then once someone puts in the username and password they can view it?

Re: Password Protected Pages

To password protect a web page that page needs to be placed in a password protected folder. How you set up a password protected folder depends on which web server software your host is running as well as which control panel software they provide. Check with your web host to see if they offer this option and how to set it up.

Bravenet do not offer password protected folders all they offer is a password gete which only checks the password for people using the link via the gate.

My page linked above has more info on password protecting pages and ways that you can make it harder for people without the password to access your page.
