ok, so i loaded my flash files onto my server...how do i make it so that when people type in my website, the flash comes up?

all the flash files are entitled intro
I uploaded these three:

intro.html
intro.swf
AC_runactivecontent.js

the link after the flash to the homepage works properly..i just don't know how to make it the intro.

In order for it to come up when you type in your URL, you must rename intro.html to index.html. And, of course, before you do that: index.html to SomethingElse.html.

I did all that and it didn't work

is there anyway to just have your homepage as intro.html?

No. For those just tuning in, hopefully someone knowing flash better, the intro.html is now down, but when it was there, it was in the main directory along with the index.html

When you say the change brought a blank screen, do you mean the flash didn't work, or that you were no longer taken to the desired page after it stopped?

probably have to adjust your flash and more

your main page to your site HAS to be index.htm or index.html


so if you want people to see the flash page when they first go to your site then it takes you into your main body or something of your site


I myself hate these flash intros and more with sites I skip them and more

got it working! Just had to publish the index.html again after i uploaded the flash file, swf file, and html file.
