the above website has disappeared

when I accessed the above website I was told they could not find the proxy then when I put in www.gynarchy.com it referred me to this domain and said the site had expired

Is there anyway I can retrieve my website so I can take the information our and place it here.

Re: the above website has disappeared

"Above"? Above what?
Are you talking about the website you listet below, or the one you mention in your text?

Most likely the latter, as the one on your text doesn't seem to be related to Bravehost in any way. Your domain has not expired, so it must be hosting. Most likely, you can just open a ticket, pay for more hosting, and your site will be fine. If it has been too long and the site is deleted, simply upload the files again.

Re: the above website has disappeared

as mentioned before when I access the gynarchy site (www.gynarchy.com)it directs me to braveheart

My website was free on gynarchy and if you access the site(http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net/)a blank page will come up. I tried to e-mail the webmaster of the site but the reply was mail daemon

So has my site disappeared?....is gynarchy website gone as well?

How do I find out? What do mean by edit....edit what?

Re: the above website has disappeared

Well apparently YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHATSOEVER HERE

You apparently let someone else do your site and more things and they disappeared and now you have NO CLUE what is up with your site

So below is the info for the DOMAIN www.gynarchy.com

Whois Server Version 2.0

Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.

Domain Name: GYNARCHY.COM
Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC.
Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
Referral URL: http://www.networksolutions.com
Name Server: NS1.BRAVEHOST.COM
Name Server: NS2.BRAVEHOST.COM
Status: clientTransferProhibited
Updated Date: 18-may-2010
Creation Date: 28-jul-1998
Expiration Date: 27-jul-2011

It was registered from Network Solutions and hosted at Bravenet so your hosting has expired for the domain so......

YOU need to renew it or let it go.

This is what happens a lot people have others do their websites then they run off when don't want to pay the bill to renew domains and other things

So you are left holding the bag unless you know how to get into the account at Network Solutions to check on the domain or such.

THe domain is hosted here at bravenet as the DNS records above show it is HOSTED here

So as said you have some work to do here. Find someone more responsible to keep up your site and more.

Your other link looks to be a subdomain of the DOMAIN www.gynosupremacy.net

So that is someone in France with that if it is you or not.

Your webmaster as said looks to have deserted you as their e-mail address is no more as you get a mailer daemon when you try to contact them.

So as said the gynarchy.com website's hosting NEEDS to be renewed so need to renew it here at bravenet if under your bravenet account or the Network Solutions account

Since we really can't do much more here you are going to have to open a support ticket and explain the issue their.

As accounts are dealt with personally and not here at the forum.

But you need to find someone who has control of the domains/accounts and more or you could be stuck

Re: the above website has disappeared

Thank you very much now how do I get to renew the website so it comes back on as http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net/

Re: the above website has disappeared

I understand that a disappearing website causes a lot of anxiety. A tiny bit of hysteria is acceptable. However, now it is time for you to sit down, take deep breaths until your hands stop trembling on the keyboard, and explain what your problem is.

You have again explained that your website is:
www.gynarchy.com
http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net

Which one are we talking about? Unless you have two domains pointing to the same website, one of them must be totally irrelevant to this discussion.

Now, don't start babbling, please. We really want to help. Think before you touch the keyboard. Draft your answer with pen and paper if necessary.

And we will probably "stop the edit" as soon as we figure out what that means.

The site that directs to Braveheart....
Photobucket

I suppose you mean "Bravehost"? Follow the link on the page you are directed to, then open a ticket if you have had paid webspace at Bravehost.

Re: the above website has disappeared

http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net was a sub domain of

www.gynarchy.com and the webmaster's e-mail as well as aline's have disappeared because I get a mailer daimons.

I know I have to get a ticket and explain it all over again but this cannot happen until at least the 27th of july when i can use my credit card.

Since this site hosted gynarchy and my website....how long does a website stay dormant until reactivated.

This happened about 2 weeks ago, give or take 5 days.

Re: the above website has disappeared

http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net was a sub domain of www.gynarchy.com

No. Sorry. That is not correct. Please don't think I'm posting just to point out how wrong you are. (Well, except for the Braveheart thing, but that was so amusing I couldn't help it.) But I think your confusion may be a root cause of your problems.

peggysue.gynosupremacy.net isn't, never was and cannot be a subdomain of gynarchy.com

peggysue.gynosupremacy.net is a subdomain of gynosupremacy.net. If it exists.

I don't know if gynarchy.com had subdomains, but if it had, a possible subdomain might be
peggysue.gynarchy.com

gynarchy.com is hosted at Bravehost
gynosupremacy.net elsewhere.

Re: the above website has disappeared

http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net was a sub domain of www.gynarchy.com

When I first approach gynarchy to set up my website they produced the above gynosupremacy website for me they also inserted a banner advertising their site www.gynarchy.com

That is why I believed it was a sub domain of gynarchy.

Re: the above website has disappeared

No, that is not a subdomain. But who cares? Right now http://peggysue.gynosupremacy.net/ is up and running!

Re: the above website has disappeared

thank you corwings for your help and can you please tell me why it would disappear for a short time?

Re: the above website has disappeared

No. That is, I could think of lots of different reasons, legal, technical and economical, but I don't know which would be correct. You would have to ask your host that, and I have the impression you are not quite clear about who that might be?

The whois information might be helpful. Or not.

I see that the owner is Gynarchy international, which also owns gynarchy.org. (not .com) Gynarchy.org has disappeared, like gynosupremacy.net. But both were around recently. Gynarchy.org was cached by google on June 23, Gynosupremacy.net on July 9th. Since Google hasn't rechecked the .org site, it is possible they went under at the same time.

Subdomains such as your own, and also:
http://prolesb.gynosupremacy.net/
http://office.gynosupremacy.net/
josiane.gynosupremacy.net/
anne.gynosupremacy.net/

are still there. This could indicate that the closing of the main site was deliberate rather than accidental, and that someone later restored the subdomains so that third parties (such as yourself) should not be affected by the decision to close down.

(Some of the other subdomain owners might have more information)

Re: the above website re-appeared now has disappeared
