Posting magazine covers

I am not a member of Bravenet as yet, there are a few things I need to clear up. I am in the process of setting up a site for actress Susan Hayward, very popular actress in the 50's and 60's. I have collected much on her for many years, especially magazine covers from all over the world. I want to know if posting my magazine covers on the site for all fans of Susan Hayward to enjoy, is part of their "terms and conditions" regarding their copyright rules and regulations. I wonder if this is something I need to contact Bravenet? Thanks

Re: Posting magazine covers

No, you need to contact the copyright owners for permission regardless of where you host the site.

IF the legitimate owner complains you will find your site off line PDQ.

Remember that if you are operating a site then you personally may be liable for copyright breach under local law while Bravenet will be liable under Canadian law. If you think that the material is "public domain" then it must be "public domain" both in your own country and Canada.
