Counter Advice

Hi all
I have a counter on my home page, but a lot of people have bookmarked my 'Whats New' page and bypass the counter.
My thought was to put the same counter on the 'Whats New' page.
Question? do you think that this will solve my problem, or give a double reading if they came first to the 'Home' page and then to 'Whats New'?
Also, will the counter location be recognized on the 'Whats New' page?
Thanks in advance
Brian

Re: Counter Advice

if you want the same counter on both pages then you get hits counted if people go to both pages

If you want the other page counted too put a different counter on that page so can have a count of who visits that page seperate from your main homepage if that is what you want.

Re: Counter Advice

Hello
Thank you for your advice, but I don't think my request will be resolved.
eg: same counter on both pages = 2 visits if visitor comes via home page...but I wont know this.
Seperate counter on whats new means I have no way of knowing whether visitor came via home and/or whats new.
I appreciate your advice, but I don't think my query has been resolved, if indeed, it can be.
Many thanks
Brian

Re: Counter Advice

Bravenet counters are designed to give stats for a single page not aggregate site stats.

If you want whole site stats then use a different service such as statcounter.
