Re: CJ Legend on e-Bay?

Yes i saw that site as well and he is pricey. Its a canadian guy who acts as a middle man for thte NANCHANG AIRCRAFT FACTORY otherwise known as the south engine aero factory and also has a few subsidiarys based there that build engines, scooters, atv's and a few other production lines. Trouble is getting a brand new bike means you have to go thru Australian design rules approval thru dept of transport which is time consuming and a drain on brain and finances.
Better to just get ex-peoples liberation army rebuild from the many bike shops that specialise in complte rebuilds from top to bottom. I'm doing so now and importing a 32ho OHV solo bike delivered to fremantle WA for AUS $4200. A sidecar would be an extra 200US By getting a pre 1989 bike you don't have to meet any aussie design rules and you get quick approval to import because the bike is considered vintage and meets a special class of import law. You just need to supplu VIN number and year with purchase documents with import approval application which available from dept of transport (federal) website.
If you need to be put on to any good shop rebuilders I know a good reputable one who exports to Europe and USa.
Cheers
