The parts are softer than on most other vehicles and can wear out in just a few hundred miles. On my bike, the weights got very sloppy and then jammed against the underside of the points plate, causing the pinon to pop out of its hole in the case and chipping the teeth on both pinons.

Your electronic mod may prevent this, but the advance parts are still of low quality.
