Hey
Your site has been a great source of information to me over the last year i have become more aware of what im eating & started to explore veganism. I raided my local library for books & google for sites yours was one of the first that came up. love your recipe collection! I hope to have a vegan xmas this year =)

I came across a xmas story book called saving the bacon by Kathryn Lamb. Evie & Lola are vegatarian & discover one of there friends is fattening up a pig for xmas dinner & they try everything they can to save the pig.

Hello dear site creators! I'm vegan and live in Russia where veganism is very, very rare and seen as something extremly odd. But I'm keeping my way and even now, at -20C. Your site is awsome, thank you so much! I cooked some dishes this Xmas, that was great. And I like the whole type of a lifestyle you write about. So, I wish you be healthy, happy and get lots of new readers at your site!
Yours faithfully,
Natalia.

Love your site, very positive and supportive information for someone like myself that has recently decided to become more conscious of what foods I put into my body and my family's body. Great information can't wait to try some of your recipes. This site is also encouraging for me as far as home schooling goes. It's an idea I've been considering lately.

Hi, I have just come across this web site, and being a lone vegan in a sea of meat eaters, it's great to know of other vegans in the world. I do not know if it is he same for others, but I felt as a young child that I aught to be vegan, as I was always allergic to all things animal, both inside and out and yet I had to experience life threatening cancers, heart and stroke and half a century of living before I had the strength to stand up for my rights as a vegan. I hope others do not suffer to my extremes before finding vegan.

Tried the sticky lemon cake in one big batch to make a traditional sponge cake birthday cake and it fell to bits! Anyone know what I could have changed, I followed the recipe exactly but the recipe is for small individual cakes which it says can be changed to accomadate one large cake. Still tasty though!

I think among meat eaters the word vegetarian (let alone vegan) is considered synonymous with "tasteless" "inadequate" "wannabe 'real' food".

Being a meat eater myself, I'm still of this misdirected opinion. But it's not the food, it's the word. Having stumbled across 2 soup recipes from your site "Leek, Potato and Pea Soup" and the minestrone recipe they have both become a regular dish on my tight budget and my friends love them too. Yet if I were to use the word vegan/vegetarian before presenting the dish to my friends they would also have a predisposition to criticize (or worse, dismiss) the food before even trying it.

Thankyou for opening my eyes to the wonders of tasty and nutritious food I can cook from ingredients readily growable in my vegetable patch!

Hello from a vegan unschooling family in Port Angeles, Washington, USA. We also use alternative medicines and prefer organic. Your daughter's webpage has a little llama pet on it...we have had llamas in the past!

I have Scottish ancestry so Scotland is high on my list of places to visit! My daughters and I will visit your beautiful country one day. Love the website.
