Glad to see folks making such efforts! In the next year or so, I plan on "jumping in" with more assistance and do MY PART. I've been to some "Brush" burial sites in Canada and NY state. Look forward to visiting VT and CT.

I was always told by my family that my great-uncle Watson O. Beach, killed in the Wilderness during the Civil War, was buried there, with a cenotaph, in memory of him, in the Salisbury Village Cemetery. Fletcher Brush brought acorns up from the Wilderness and planted them in front of the cenotaph, but no oak tree developed. Recently, someone told me that Watson Beach's body was buried in Salisbury. This information doesn't agree with what my parents told me. Do you know just where he was buried? Thank you.

Am delighted to find this website. Fletcher has sent photos of gravestones and monuments to me. One is in memory of Watson O. Beach is was killed at the Wilderness. Am hoping to connect to Beach ancestors. Also am related to Kelleys and Grouts.
