oil spill

Re: oil spill info. If you go to the owners section of the casaybelresort.com site and sign in, the first page that pops in will have a header that will take you directly to info about the oil spill. According to this Sanibel City site, the beaches are still "pristine" with no sightings or smells of oil. They also give you a reporting number to call and some picture examples of what to look for "in case". Hopefully, nothing will be seen and CY will remain as perfect as always.

I have also been looking for the minutes from the FGH April meeting, but there has been nothing posted except the notice of the meeting. How long does it take to get this information out to the owners?

Re: oil spill

So far we are (Thank God) far from the spill, but no one can really say anything yet.
I am following the situation carefully locally, and will post anything of importence concerning our area.
One concern is that the big "bobble" floating under the surface of the Gulf will pass us by about 100 miles out, and go around Key West to the beaches of East Florida?

Re: oil spill

SPECIAL CANCELLATION POLICY: The beaches of Sanibel Island remain as unspoiled and abundant with shells today as they have been for so many generations of travelers. Should the City of Sanibel officially close the Resort's beach area due to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill owners could provide a daily unit rate refund to their individual guests for each day affected.

Could this be useful as a response to guests that have rented a unit from you?
I have had many inquiries regarding this subject from owners.
