Online FBP '98 Leagues Coaches/Owners & Commissioners,

I am an original player/fan of FPS:FBP '93-'98 (bought '99, but sadly, it sucked with problems), who wants to get back to playing FBP '98. My original FBP '98 CD-Rom is damaged.

I had been waiting for a local computer repairperson, who took over from uncle (who, obviously unlike him, was trustworthy & did not take too much jobs & tons of businesses' jobs, to not- leave out that he is doing jobs during his non-working hours & thus, do all the jobs on time & within reasonable time frame), for over a year to have copy of FBP '98 (at the time could not find any copy any where) & have it with problems running on Modern/non-CD-Rom Drive LT. Recently, I have been trying to communicate with him about I have run out patience for him to complete the job, as promised, & if giving him until Jan. '2025 would make any difference. He has never even pick-up his cellphone or answered my E-Mail; so, I have tried contacting other local computer repairpeople about the job & nobody would agree to do the job or even answer my communications. I was lucky enough to find the complete package of FBP '98 on EBay, bought it & it arrived yesterday (like it was 1998- do not how they kept it so awesome condition; though I have not been able to test the CD-Rom functionality).

Testing CD-Rom functionality, before EBay's 30-day return policy runs out, is now huge challenge to me, on top of not having a LT (in my household) that has CD-Rom Drive, no library, media services (whether in higher educational schools or city-county) & computer repairperson will work with me to download & test if it works (let alone, if it does work, download it to my LT). Leaving me with family & friends, I have yet to try this. Almost all of my friends are in other states & black sheep of the family- older relatives' either do not having working computers, other relatives live 100s of miles away & the all the relatives in my state no longer really use standard definition of computers & use cellphone-tablets for computer needs.

Do any of you all have ideas on how I can find a person/people to allow me to test FBP '98 & then download to my LT?

Once I have installed FBP '98 to another's LT (with CD-Rom drive) & it tests awesome, then do I simply copy all of FBP '98 to my huge space thumb drive & copy all of FBP '98 from my thumb drive to my LT?

Do you think I should just invest in a CD-Rom Drive, just for FBP '98, & skip the above? Did any of you do that?
