Doc pfeiffer worked his magic again,,,a full room of dealers and patrons
Following 3 pics overlap R - Middle - L
Gerrad was displaying some of his beautiful craftsmanship
Paul Kinyon had some really neat artifacts...Here he shows two of his very favorite treasures...a Herb Mano and a mini matate
Nicole & TJ had the best of the west on display
Nacho and Montell Pat was one of the most heavily visited displays in the whole place. ( How DOES Pat keep those glasses way out there on the tip of his nose ) ??
I first met Chase, of SMOKEY MOUNTAIN KNIVES about 9 yrs ago at the yearly Tucson AZ shows...His selection
of THOUSANDS of African bird points is always a crowd pleaser.
Mr & Mrs Larry elbowed their way right in to the bird point melee....Looked like Christmas shopping days
Bill Arnold held sway over several well stocked tables...Thats Ben and Lil Patrick showing Bill the
' ring ' Ben found last week at Chrisners.
A lot of people have seen the published pics of Ben's ring, most were surprised how relatively ' thick ' it is.
Bill offered a possible use, a hair loop thingmy, something to keep long braids in place rather than a rubber band ...
The haggling over a deal on points can get pretty intense...I took a pic of these two serious customers
cause they had that poor dealer almost in tears
A parting shot before I walked out the door at noon...
The show is lots bigger than when i last attended in 1998!
Are most of these Texas dealers?
Are most all for sale or show?
GSH, We aint seen nothing yet ...TX pop u lation is quadrupling fast, they may have to bolt an extra wing
on the show soon.
As a guess, dealers are 50 - 50 Tx to out of state..There's a few great display only 'dealers' that were there with you in '98
Probably 90% for sale, rest are take to the grave treasures.
Jay, I didn't want to name any names from that pic to protect the innocent ...
It WAS a good show, pretty hard to recognise old dig buddies without their ' working' clothes on though
