Nice of you to be so observant... Thats the MOON ( about 5:30 PM on that afternoon.) And I was trying to highlight it, thats why the tree only fills part of the frame...I'm surprised how small it came out....
I DID do a telephoto of the same format BUT it produced a nice nice moon and nothing but fuzz where the flint & blossoms are

Re: SPRINGTIME IN TEXAS

This skyshot is especially for Idahoe's enjoyment....
This past dig at Starr we were digging side by side ...he had found 2 nice pieces and after a long time this piece is what I found. He made a big complimentary fuss over how beautiful this abreviated base of a Williams was ( red bud trees always pop early )

Re: SPRINGTIME IN TEXAS

That's what I was thinking, the moon, but wasn't sure because of past ghost in pictures. Thought it might be a plane or UFO at first. A nice mesquite pic. anyway. It shows winter is fading fast.

Re: SPRINGTIME IN TEXAS

Not the first in TX, just the very first ones I have seen..At top camp, C3

Watch was an attempt to show the date of March 7th

Re: SPRINGTIME IN TEXAS

If there is going to be a "springtime in TX "...There has to be a " raintime in TX "

Instead of a 'normal' rain, a 3 hour very light drizzle collected on this field of clover.. the overall effect was outstanding...

Five dollars worth of gas and they wouldn't have to push the car.

Self portrait with acres of BB's are mandatory for a Tx spring.
