Thanks for the Knight family tree. I\'m the great ×3 grandson of Greenbury Knight and went to his grave with my two sons today. We only live 6 miles away! I always reflect at a cemetary of the loved ones that have been lost and the brevity of life. |

Hello, I have compiled an updated genealogy of Joseph Burch (1758-1818) and his sons: Benjamin Burch, Edward Allen Burch (adopted by Edward Burch, not related), Reuben Burch, Henry Burch, and Alfred Burch. If you are interested, let me know which child you are related to and I will send you the information. Best regards, James Allison |

My grand mother, a descendant of Eliza Shuman and Capt. Reuben English, remembered that she was related to many people whose names appear on your site - Sims, McGillis, Shumans, Dr. Freeman, etc. I have found that there are Sauls still living in what was the Old Beaufort District. The Sauls family of Ridgeland have a member who is currently running for either County Commissioner of Jasper County, SC or the mayor of Ridgeland. I have once tried to communicate with him re the ancestors of Pherabee Sauls but he never responded. She has to be related in some way to an earlier Meredith Sauls who lived in the vicinity. You may know that all of the old Beaufort County records were sent to Columbia for safekeeping during the Civil War. That\'s where they burned in 1864 when Sherman came through town. |
