I love old things and I have found and old picture of Gerald riding in the cheyenne rodeo 1947 and he signed it so I am really happy to have found this in and old barn and will frame it for my cowboy room I have enjoyed reading about him also thank you Roberts family.

From label on a pair of chaps that came to me

A beautiful pair of chaps came to me through an auction. They are light bluish green with three tan eagles on each side and tan fringe. It looks like they have a name (maybe Weaver) written inside, but is so worn. Other leg on inside has numbers (maybe social security number) but not all legible. When something with so much history comes to me, I wish I knew more! Any information out there?

Casey Tibbs gave me a pair of Gerald Roberts chaps. Casey signed them and told me \"Thanks for boarding my stock\" (bulls and horses 1986) That was when casey thought he wanted to go into the stock contracting business.

I worked for EC and Ken with rodeo stock back in the 50\'s. I also helped out Howard on the farm. I met Gerald during Strong City Rodeo, (Don\'t remember what year) Been a long time ago though. I understood Gerald had a saddle store in Council Grove ! Am I right or wrong on that? Casey Tibbs gave me a silver dollar which I still have and wouldn\'t part with it for nothing. Thank you for allowing me to share this data with you.

I had the hinor of meeting Gerald Roberts while I was stationed in ft Riley prior to desert storm. His son Jim helped to organize our rodeo team as well as work with a few of us at his home, I am glad to be able to consider Jim a friend of mine while I was staioned there, this truly one great family take care and may god be with you.

Checking dates for 2013 Flint Hills Rodeo

I had the privilege of riding with E.C. a few times on my uncles\' Prairie View ranch growing up near Strong City. Later I watched him give lessons in dominoes at the “Hole in The Wall” in Strong City. I was lucky enough to have met Marge, Ken, and Gerald at one time or another. Great folks and a truly historic Rodeo Family.
